The Packaging & Processing Women's Leadership Network (PPWLN) — sponsored by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies — is excited to announce its “Leading Change” breakfast during ProFood Tech (8:00 a.m., March 27; McCormick Place; Chicago). The event in Room 179A will connect peers through networking and shared experiences with insights from Diane Wolf, consultant and former vice president at Kraft Foods and Karen Norheim, executive vice president at American Crane & Equipment Corporation, and incoming chair of the nonprofit trade association Women in Manufacturing. Both women will share how they maneuvered the manufacturing environment to become a driving force of change at their respective companies.

“Diane Wolf and Karen Norheim’s unique experiences in manufacturing will inform and inspire all who attend this breakfast,” says Tracy Stout, vice president, marketing and communications, PMMI. “The PPWLN looks forward to providing a space for attendees to share their stories as well as discuss ways to advance women in the workforce.”

As a leader at American Crane, Norheim oversees the successful day-to-day operations of a 180-person manufacturing facility headquartered in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. She manages all company operations with an emphasis on continued expansion, growth and long-term strategy.

Diane Wolf is a former senior operations executive for Kraft Foods. She was vice president of Operations, Engineering and Global Safety, Environmental and Sustainability prior to becoming an independent consultant in 2012. In her over 35 years of experience, Wolf has held key positions in capital procurement, engineering, manufacturing and product development in North America and globally for Kraft Foods.

The PPWLN event at ProFood Tech begins with a buffet breakfast and presentations from the speakers, including time for questions from the audience. A networking exercise follows, providing ample time for attendees to continue the discussion.
