Engineered for wet and frozen French fries and specialty potato products, Key Technology VERYX digital sorters feature high-resolution cameras, laser sensors, in-air inspection, the ability to view all sides of the product throughout the production cycle and an intelligent ejection system; the detection module used with frozen potato products synchronizes and combines channel input from the cameras and sensors at the pixel level, providing the digital information for the units to sort difficult-to-detect defects and foreign materials, such as glass, metal, rubber, paperboard, foam and plastics of different colors. The data acquisition and connectivity capabilities of the units gather a range of product and operational data that can be shared for off-line analysis or exchanged directly with a SCADA, MES or PLC network.
