X-ray System Inspects Small- to Large-diameter Glass Jars

Helps manufacturers protect brand images while meeting increasingly stringent worldwide safety regulations

Mettler Toledo X3750 X Ray System

This content was written and submitted by the supplier. It has only been modified to comply with this publication’s space and style.

The METTLER TOLEDO Safeline X-ray inspection system detects a range of contaminants, including metal, mineral stone, calcified bone, high-absorption plastic, rubber compounds, and even glass fragments, within products packaged in glass containers. Incorporating an angled X-ray beam that shoots through the container base, the X3750 glass inspection system eliminates blind spots in the base, sidewalls, and neck of containers. The system also provides full-height fill level checks and allows containers to run while touching, without gaps, enabling throughputs up to 1,200 containers per min. Detected non-conforming or contaminated containers are rejected by a short-stroke rejector to a separate conveyor.
