Pouch system blazes new beverage trail

According to its creator, conversations around the water cooler have become much more interesting since the January launch of the new Esio Beverage System from Esio Beverage Co. LLC of Mesa, AZ. An on-demand drink system that provides hot or cold beverages from a selection of 13 concentrate varieties, the Esio Beverage System relies on an innovative pouch with a self-sealing fitment and a disposable pump, along with a custom water dispenser engineered by the company to act as a veritable beverage fountain. To co-pack Esio Beverage Co.’s new Esio Pak concentrate pouches, flexible-pouch fitment and closure supplier IPN USA outfitted a 2,400-sq-ft production room at its plant in Peachtree City, GA. Equipment includes two SFA seal/fill/apply machines from IPN; a continuous ink-jet printer (www.citronix.com); a semi-automatic hand-load cartoner (www.adcomfg.com) with a hot-melt glue system (www.nordson.com) and a laser printer (www.macsalaser.com); an automatic case taper (www.ovalstrapping.com); and an ink-jet case printer (www.foxjet.com).
