Patrick Young, Publisher
Publisher Patrick Young has over three decades of leadership and media sales experience in the food manufacturing field. Prior to joining PMMI Media Group, he was with BNP Media for 15 years, most recently as Publisher of BNP's Food Engineering Network, which includes Food Engineering, Food Master, Refrigerated & Frozen Foods, and Food Engineering's Food Automation & Manufacturing Conference. His previous experience includes sales and sales management positions at McGraw-Hill's Healthcare Information Group and the Chilton Company.
Aaron Hand, Editor-in-Chief
Aaron Hand has more than three decades of experience in B-to-B publishing with a particular focus on technology. He has been with PMMI Media Group since 2013, much of that time as Executive Editor for Automation World, where he focused on continuous process industries. Prior to joining ProFood World full time in late 2020, Aaron worked as Editor at Large for PMMI Media Group, reporting for all publications on a wide variety of industry developments, including advancements in packaging for consumer products and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage processing, and industrial automation. He took over as Editor-in-Chief of ProFood World in 2021. Aaron holds a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University and an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois.
Michael Costa, Senior Editor
Michael Costa has many years of experience covering the food and beverage industry from a variety of angles. Before joining ProFood World in 2016, he served as Editor-in-Chief for both Food Engineering and Refrigerated & Frozen Foods magazines. Before that, he was Editorial Director of Hotel F&B magazine for 12 years, covering the business of food and beverage in lodging, including restaurants, bars, catering and more. Before joining Hotel F&B in 2007, Michael attended culinary school at the Illinois Institute of Art while working in the kitchen and in F&B purchasing at the 1,218-room Sheraton Grand Chicago. A journalism graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, Michael also worked for six years in TV news as a reporter at network affiliates around the country.
