A patented p-s label applicator designed for large petroleum and petrochemical labels has been introduced by Label-Aire (Fullerton, CA). Can produce labels up to 13" wide with a placement accuracy of ±1/16" for roll or fanfold labels at speeds to 30 labels/ min.

Gamma-ray resistance
DuPont Packaging
DuPont's (Wilmington, DE) metallized PVDC-coated Mylar XM MC1T and MC2 polyester films are now available with a gamma-ray resistance feature. An excellent barrier to oxygen, moisture, light, flavor and odor, applications include sterile packaging of medical supplies and aseptic packaging of oxygen-sensitive foods, such as juices, purees and pastes.
