To appeal to newly health-conscious Brits, Ricola is positioning its sweets in the functional confectionary niche.

The Swiss confectioner will re-launch and extend its product line with new flavors, and has made changes to its packaging. The all-natural candy is available in bags, boxes and sticks, and features labels that provide Guidance Daily Amount (GDA) labels. Only 10 percent of sugar confectionery manufacturers currently provide GDA on their labels.
