Heat and Control’s FastBack expands customer support in Europe

Heat and Control’s FastBack brand of sanitary conveyors and On-Machine Seasoning is expanding customer support in Europe with a new demonstration system.

In a million dollar joint effort with Ishida Europe, Ltd., Heat and Control has installed a FastBack Revolution distribution conveyor and on-machine seasoning system at Ishida Europe’s new demonstration center in Birmingham, England.

Delivering product to Ishida weighers, snack bagmakers, and other packaging equipment, the FastBack system provides real-world performance demonstrations enabling food processors to choose the best product handling, seasoning, and packaging system for their applications.

“This FastBack and Ishida demonstration facility provides excellent ‘hands-on’ evaluations and the ideal ‘try before you buy’ opportunity for European food processors,” explains Blake Svejkovsky, Heat and Control’s manager of product handling systems.   The company maintains other demonstration centers in the United States, Australia, and Mexico.

“FastBacks are the overwhelming choice for conveying snacks, baked, fresh, and frozen foods for four reasons,” says Svejkovsky.  “Gentle horizontal motion conveying significantly reduces product damage, unscheduled downtime for pan cleaning, workplace noise, and maintenance costs.”

Proportional distribution of product to multiple seasoning and packaging stations is a FastBack strong point.  Patented Revolution rotary gates meter the exact amount of product at the request of each station, without starving downstream equipment.  The Revolution gate eliminates pinch points and cross contamination, and is equally efficient for small and large package sizes.

FastBack Revolution On-Machine Seasoning systems utilize load cell measurement of incoming product and a horizontal tumble drum to assure uniform and accurate target application rates using less seasoning than other systems.
