Multi-Fill: Batch feeder system

Multi-Fill’s Batch Feeder provides a metered, continuous flow of bulk products like cooked pastas and rice, cut vegetables, fruits, meats, and various salads to the hopper of its volumetric cup filler, allowing large quantities to be placed into the hopper with minimal monitoring.

The system can be fed with a post dumper, conveyor, or chute from a second floor or high platform, eliminating the need for an operator to continuously bring buckets of product to the hopper. Tunneling and damage to the product are reduced with the incorporation of augers or conveyors and other bulk product transport devices.  The system also provides first in, first out product flow.

When used with the company’s volumetric filler, the Batch Feeder System provides automatic flow without adjustments.  The feeder speeds up and slows down with the filler as the whole line increases or decreases in speed.

The system also features an easy-to-clean design with lift-out parts and swing-away safety covers. Major components remain attached in position during cleaning. No tools are required for cleaning, disassembly, or reassembly; quick release components and captured guards help ensure easy access, maintenance, and cleaning. The system can be mounted on the frame of the filling machine and swings away from the conveyor bed/hopper for cleaning. A stand-alone version is also available. It features a compact footprint and can be retrofitted to older Multi-Fill volumetric fillers.
