General Oil Equipment Co., Inc.-Amherst Stainless Fabrication LLC. (GOE-ASF), located in Amherst, NY, was founded in 1938 as a petroleum equipment distributor. In 1988 GOE purchased Avins Fabrication, renamed Amherst Stainless Fabrication. This acquisition provided fabrication capability for GOE’s now highly acclaimed VPLS spray system which has since become an industry leading spraying system for accurate spraying of oils, slurries, glazes, sugar solutions, sheens, and preservatives. It also led to the development of further food and pharmaceutical equipment design & manufacturing capacity.
