The Global Food Safety Initiative has named Erica Sheward as its director. Sheward previously served as a senior executive at the Leatherhead Food Research segment of Science Group, a food and beverage consultancy; was a food safety specialist at two UK universities; and spent five years at the UK’s Office for Product Safety and Standards.
