Mountaire Farms Siler City facility
Mountaire Farms, America’s sixth-largest chicken producer, has opened a new $170 million processing plant and Health and Wellness Center that provides free healthcare services to its employees. Located in Siler City, NC, the plant will employ up to 1,250 people when at full production.
UDF building doughnut plant
Cincinnati-based United Dairy Farmers is planning construction of an $11 million manufacturing facility, where it will bake its own doughnuts. The facility will initially create 30 new jobs, with a total of 50 expected later on. Hixson Inc. submitted the application on UDF’s behalf.
