Seagram's becomes 'cooler' for winter

After nearly 20 years, Seagram’s Cooler beverages are now available in a completely new packaging presentation: new glass bottle, label, and graphics.

To mark the occasion, the company introduced its first seasonal winter flavor, Cranberry Apple Winter Breeze, that will be available through the end of January.

Seagram’s Coolers, now owned by Pernod-Ricard, is marketed by United States Beverage L.L.C., Stamford, CT.

“Winter Breeze offers a new great tasting seasonal spin for consumers who enjoy the light alcohol refreshment of Seagram’s Coolers,” says Richard Cho, senior brand manager at United States Beverage. “Winter Breeze comes on the heels of Seagram’s Coolers’ twentieth anniversary and the unveiling of its new-look bottle and graphics. The new modern bottle design, combined with tropical beach graphics, has given the brand a more contemporary look.” The new bottle is molded by Owens-Illinois, Cho tells Packaging World.

The new bottle shape replaces the venerable teardrop shape that Seagram’s had used for nearly 20 years, with a paper label around its neck, up to the twist-off crown.
