Anderson notes expansion

Anderson Packaging (www.andersonpackaging.com), a Rockford, IL-based pharmaceutical contract packager, has completed the expansion of its refrigerated storage facility.

The renovation adds 672 pallet spaces of refrigerated storage area for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.

The refrigerated storage space was installed and validated in Rockford, where the company in 2008 expanded to create an additional 410,000 sq ft of pharmaceutical packaging space.

“We are seeing significant growth in the market for contract packaging of biologics, as well as new oral-dose solids that have heightened sensitivity to temperature,” says Shawn Reilley, Anderson Packaging president. “This refrigerated storage expansion will accommodate future growth in these areas.
