The Kerry Group is investing $125 million to expand its operations in Rome, Georgia. Construction on the project, which will begin immediately, is expected to be completed by early next year and will more than double the production capacity of the existing site within the same footprint. The facility will be powered by 100% renewable electricity and will have other sustainable initiatives including zero waste to landfill, bulk receiving, and energy-efficient equipment.
More than 400 people will be employeed during the construction phase, and over 100 new full-time positions are expected to be created once the facility is fully operational.
