These control and clutch/brake systems can turn ordinary electric motors into error-compensating indexing drives, says manufacturer Force Control (Fairfield, OH).
Suitable for indexing conveyors and packaging machinery, the CLPC drives can perform single-rev indexes in less than 100 milliseconds, with cycle rates exceeding 600 cycles (stops and starts)/min. They offer a torque of up to 88ê¯ + lb/in and a high stopping accuracy.
