–Bemis Co. (Minneapolis, MN) purchased the global Clysar® shrink film business of DuPont (Wilmington, DE) and will be distributed in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Wrapid Packaging Systems Ltd. (West Yorkshire, England).

–Alloyd Co. (Concord, MA) is standardizing its software by using only 3-D CAD software, called SolidWorks®.

–Schubert Packaging Systems (Addison, TX) opened its new 12ꯠ sq’ North American headquarters building in Addison, TX, near Dallas.

–The Processing and Packaging Machinery Assn. (Wallington, Surrey, England) and Reed Exhibitions (Richmond, Surrey, England) have agreed to merge their exhibition activities in Britain.

–The Xpedx (Covington, KY) div. of International Paper Co. and Triangle Package Machinery (Chicago, IL) teamed to provide custom designed and fully integrated packaging lines to packagers throughout the United States.
