Gerber and TerraCycle to launch recycling program

Gerber Accepted Baby Food Packaging For Recycling Program

Gerber is partnering with TerraCycle, an international recycling company, to recycle baby food packaging on a national scale. With the program, consumers, schools, offices or community organizations can sign up on the Gerber Recycling Program page and use a prepaid shipping label to mail in packaging that is not municipally recyclable. Then, TerraCycle will clean the packaging and melt it into hard plastic that can be remolded to make recycled products. Collectors can earn $1 to donate to a non-profit, school or charitable organization of their choice for every pound of packaging waste sent to TerraCycle.
