Conagra recognizes its employees that have led innovative sustainability projects at the company.
Conagra Brands, Inc. has acknowledged employees’ sustainability efforts throughout the organization. The Sustainable Development Awards recognize employee-led projects that save energy, conserve water and reduce waste. Altogether, this year’s 57 projects reduced waste by more than 9,200 tons, improved packaging while using 1,400 tons less material, conserved more than 170 million gallons of water, reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 5,900 metric tons—and saved the company more than $5 million.
The Conagra Brands Foundation presented each of the five award winners a $5,000 grant for them to use in their community on sustainability-focused public service projects.
