Nestlé Waters North America has stated it will achieve 25 percent recycled plastic across its US domestic portfolio by 2021, and has committed to continue expanding its use of recycled materials, with the goal of reaching 50 percent recycled plastic by 2025. To achieve its goals, the company is expanding its relationship with its suppliers to support its ability to nearly quadruple its use of food-grade recycled plastic in less than three years.

Nestlé Waters also is continuing to make indirect investments in the US recycling infrastructure through its $6 million investment in the Closed Loop Fund and its support of a variety of recycling collection programs. Earlier this year, the company unveiled the 100 percent rPET Nestlé Pure Life bottle, the only major nationally distributed bottled water on the market made using 100 percent recycled plastic.
