Mars, Inc. has launched its #PledgeForPlanet global climate initiative to help protect the planet and address the effects of climate change by promoting collective action, including encouraging its major suppliers to commit to science-based emissions targets and sign onto The Climate Group’s RE100.
In addition, as a part of the initiative, Mars has set the goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its direct operations in an effort to limit global warming to 1.5 deg C, in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
