Another new pavilion is among the highlights some 25,000 visitors can look forward to when they attend Pack Expo Las Vegas this year. Running October 15 through 17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the show will feature more than 1,200 exhibitors occupying 550,000 net sq feet of floor space, says show organizer and producer the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (www.pmmi.org).

As for that new pavilion, it’s called “Design for Profit.” Co-presented by PMMI and Xpedx, it will focus on the methods used to propel package design from idea through implementation. The idea is to demonstrate how successful packaging designs incorporate a variety of materials and support a cross-section of industry sectors and consumer needs. Look for it within the Containers and Materials Pavilion.

Other pavilions returning once again include RFID, Contract Packaging, and the Brand Protection Center. The Showcase of Packaging Innovations, sponsored by The Dow Chemical Co., also returns, where hundreds of real-world products from around the globe will be on display.
