Aluminum can-packed dog drinks

Judy In November 2009, specialty pet products company Petrol, Inc., Cornelius, NC, introduced a vitamin-enhanced hydrating drink for dogs.

Pw 4295 Petrol

The unique product is packaged in 12-oz SLEEK™ aluminum cans supplied by Rexam. Petrol president Jennifer Smith notes, “Petrol drink is a treat that’s better than water in delivering hydration and delicious nutrition to help keep dogs healthy.”

Petrol is pleased with their packaging choice. The highly portable, recyclable aluminum cans keep the doggie drinks fresh, and their attractive graphics make the cans stand out on the store shelves. Petrol worked with Rexam’s graphic arts and printing plate operation in Elk Grove Village, IL, to set the color and graphic tolerances for perfect reproduction of the can printing. The process incorporates four transparent spot colors (white, red, black, and yellow) on silver cans. The 12-oz can dimensions are 6.127” tall x 2.26” diameter, using 202-diameter ends.
