Ocean Spray makes commitment to sustainability farming

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., an agriculture cooperative owned by more than 700 cranberry farmers, has announced its commitment to sustainably farming all its cranberries and verifying 100 percent of its crop as sustainably grown by 2020. Ocean Spray will be working to verify its fruit is sustainably farmed by benchmarking it to the Farm Sustainability Assessment, which was developed by the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform. The company’s efforts will make Ocean Spray Cranberries the first fruit cooperative in North America to verify all of its crops as sustainably grown.
