Show Daily Exclusive - High-quality filling, sealing and overcapping machines from A.T.S. Engineering (Booth N-5430) handle a wide range of plastic packaging for dairy applications.

Founded in 1994 by GM and CEO Anthony Subryan, the Canadian company focuses on two main designs, custom-made rotary and inline filling machines for products such as cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt, ricotta, ice cream, margarine, juice, sauces and dips. Easily adapted for single or multiple fills, the equipment meets or exceeds dairy standards such as USDA, FDA and 3-A. Rigorous checks at installation guarantee the highest output.

The business grew from Subryan’s experience redesigning and modifying equipment, mostly filling machines, for dairy processors, which needed to achieve higher speeds and efficiencies. He says, “When I looked at my client’s equipment and designs, I was able to see opportunities to develop parts that would improve overall performance.”

Pleased with the parts, end users started asking for complete machines. He recalls, “Before starting my own company, I had orders that totaled $310,000. I didn’t let that opportunity vanish. I started my own company, and from that moment on, business started to flourish.”

In order to accommodate growth while meeting end user needs, the company and its staff of 15—including three engineers, two of whom, Mark and Pierre, are the founder’s sons—relocated to a facility in Toronto, Ontario, for a few years. Now in nearby Brampton, its 20,000-sq.-ft. plant is ideally suited for manufacturing high-quality equipment. As its silver anniversary approaches, Subryan says A.T.S. Engineering will continue to deliver “the most advanced equipment for the most competitive needs in this changing market.”
