Matrix will bring a range of flexible packaging technologies to Booth S-3560 at PACK EXPO 2026, taking place October 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Featured solutions will include high-performance VFFS systems, integrated automation, and coordinated systems from across the ProMach portfolio.
Headlining the exhibit will be a live, fully integrated packaging line featuring Matrix vertical form fill seal (VFFS) equipment, Bartelt horizontal pouching technology, and Quest robotic case packing and palletizing. The demonstration will show how manufacturers can connect primary packaging and end-of-line automation through a seamless solution designed to improve efficiency and simplify integration.
In addition to the integrated line, attendees will see multiple Matrix VFFS platforms designed to support a wide range of bag styles, production requirements, and facility constraints.
All Matrix VFFS systems featured throughout the booth will be equipped with LAKO seal jaws. LAKO, which joined the ProMach family in 2026, is a leading provider of sealing technology known for helping manufacturers achieve reliable seal quality, improved performance, and increased uptime.
Matrix, a ProMach product brand, is an expert in VFFS packaging equipment capable of producing a variety of flexible bag styles, including pillow, gusseted, flat-bottom, and modified doy bags. Matrix is also the North American distributor for Pacraft (formerly Toyo Jidoki) rotary pre-made pouch packaging solutions and INVpack sachet and stickpack machinery.
Matrix MVC 300Matrix
MVC-300
Matrix’s MVC-300 bagger will take a leading role in the integrated line. Featuring a high-performance servo system engineered for precise motion control, this machine enables manufacturers to run a wide variety of films at high speeds while maintaining excellent accuracy and package quality.
The MVC-300 utilizes a continuous motion, high-speed jaw system that keeps the film moving throughout the packaging process. The jaws cut the film while providing the dwell time necessary to create strong, consistent seals. By eliminating the need to stop and start during each cycle, the MVC-300 achieves higher fill rates, making it Matrix’s most advanced VFFS platform.
The machine also features next-generation Allen-Bradley HMI controls, making the VFFS system easier to operate, troubleshoot, and integrate into plant-wide systems. With enhanced diagnostics, modern reporting capabilities, and data-ready design, manufacturers can streamline operations while gaining the insights needed to improve productivity and performance.
During PACK EXPO, the MVC-300 will fill bags that will then travel by conveyor to Quest’s QX250 Robotic Case Packer before moving downstream to Quest’s QB321 robotic palletizer. Together, the technologies demonstrate a seamless packaging process from primary packaging through end-of-line automation.
Attendees will also see the flexibility of ProMach’s integrated approach when the line transitions from vertical bagging to horizontal pouching. Bartelt’s MAG-R Horizontal Form Fill Seal Poucher will be incorporated into the demonstration, showcasing how multiple ProMach packaging technologies can be integrated within a single line to accommodate different package formats and production requirements.
MVC-250
Other vertical filling solutions on display include the MVC-250, a continuous box motion bagger featuring the latest high-performance servo system for unprecedented motion control. With a low-profile, 62-inch-tall design, the MVC-250 is ideal for facilities with limited overhead space and can reach speeds of up to 200 cycles per minute.
Designed for facilities where space is at a premium, the MVC-250 delivers high-speed performance in a compact footprint. Its low-profile design makes it an ideal solution for line expansions, retrofits, and operations with height restrictions, allowing manufacturers to increase throughput without significant facility modifications.
At the show, the MVC-250 will be paired with a Yamato filling scale.
MVI-280
Complementing Matrix's continuous motion MVC Series, Matrix will also showcase its intermittent motion MVI Series, which combines versatility, reliability, and ease of operation for a wide range of packaging applications.
An economical VFFS solution, Matrix’s MVI-280 can process bags ranging from 2 to 11 inches wide and 2 to 15 inches long, with a maximum roll diameter of 14 inches, making it ideal for a wide variety of foods, including snacks, confections, coffee, food service products, and other packaged goods.
Users can configure up to 12 outputs for quick and easy changeovers, while its stainless steel frame allows for hygienic, food-grade conditions and easy cleaning. Automatic safety features, film tracking, multilingual displays, and touchscreen controls make this machine adaptable to a variety of operations.
MVI-330
The MVI-330 VFFS machine is a high-performance, flexible packaging solution engineered for reliability, speed, and versatility. Built with a rugged stainless steel frame, the MVI-330 delivers cycle speeds of up to 100 bags per minute while accommodating multiple bag styles, including pillow, gusseted, flat-bottom, and quad-seal formats.
Advanced servo motion controls, automatic film tracking, integrated temperature control, and intuitive HMI support precise, consistent operation. Tool-free film roll and forming tube changes help streamline product changeovers. With numerous configurable options for printing, labeling, valves, gas flushing, and sealing, the MVI-330 adapts to diverse packaging applications and production requirements.
MVX-200 Doy
The MVX-200 Doy is a compact, high-efficiency VFFS system designed to produce premium stand-up pouches that maximize shelf presence and branding opportunities. Ideal for facilities with limited floor space, the machine delivers high output within a small footprint while supporting fast, tool-free changeovers that minimize downtime and simplify product transitions.
Designed for versatility, the MVX-200 can run multiple bag styles on a single machine, including doypack, 3-side seal, quad-seal, and block-bottom formats. The system also supports consumer-friendly package features such as recloseable zippers and easy-open options, helping brands enhance convenience while maintaining packaging flexibility.
Providing a cost-competitive alternative to traditional stand-up pouch packaging solutions, the MVX-200 enables manufacturers to produce multiple premium package formats and fitments on a single machine while maximizing output per square foot.
