Some 1.9 million cases of the new product will be test marketed across the United States. FDA’s temporary permit is effective for 15 months beginning the date the product is introduced into interstate commerce.
Bumble Bee gets test nod
FDA is allowing Bumble Bee Seafoods to test market a product called “Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna ‘Touch of Lemon’ in water, with natural lemon flavor” that deviates from the standard of identify for canned tuna.
