The Flexicon flexible screw conveyor includes a carbon-steel floor hopper and discharge housing, and 4-1/2-in. O.D. fully enclosed polymer conveyor tube. The Model 1450 flexible screw conveyor has an inner screw that self-centers as it rotates. The lower end of the screw requires no bearing, while the upper end is driven beyond the point of discharge, preventing material contact with bearings or seals. Available with round, square, flat, or beveled flexible screws in lengths from 10 to 40 ft, the unit can convey virtually any free- and nonfree-flowing bulk material, including products that pack, cake, seize, smear, or break apart.
