Cargill has plans to spend $150 million to build an HM pectin production facility in Brazil. Construction of the plant is expected to begin in early 2019.

The facility is a part of Cargill’s plan to strengthen its pectin footprint, which also will include improvements to its existing plants in Germany, France and Italy. HM pectin is a citrus fruit-based texturizer used for jams, beverages/juices, acid dairy drinks and confectionery.
