PepsiCo Pledges Net-Zero Emissions by 2040

The company is moving to build a more resilient, sustainable food system, while reducing its absolute GHG emissions worldwide.

PepsiCo is planning to reduce absolute GHG emissions across its direct operations by 75% and its indirect value chain by 40% by 2030, which will result in the elimination of more than 26 million metric tons of GHG emissions. Guided by leading science-based measures and cost-benefit analysis, PepsiCo’s sustainability strategy focuses on the areas where it can have the most impact, as well as creating scalable models and partnerships for accelerated progress across the full value chain.
