Hormel Foods has announced a new set of environmental sustainability goals, which include matching 100% of its global energy use with renewable sourcing, establishing science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets by 2023, and taking action across its supply chain, including the support of regenerative agriculture initiatives, to improve water quality.

The new goals are part of Hormel’s commitment to achieve 20 corporate responsibility goals by 2030 through a continuation of its corporate responsibility leadership. The company’s efforts to meet a previous set of sustainability goals has already resulted in significant reductions in its packaging, nonrenewable energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and solid waste sent to landfills.
