Eagle Product Inspection’s FA3/M uses third generation refinement of Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) measurement technology to discriminate between fat and lean portions of 100 percent of product throughput, providing chemical lean measurements to to better than +/- 1  CL accuracy on all meats.

In addition, contaminants are highlighted within the inspection images, enabling rapid rework and reducing wasted product. Up to 24,000 plastic crates or frozen blocks per hour can be processed.

The equipment also employs UPSHOT compact X-ray imaging geometry which allows the meat to be scanned from the bottom, with detectors over the product.
