Leprino Foods to expand New Mexico facility

Also adding new refrigeration/freezer warehouse

Leprino Foods Company is investing more than $15 million to expand its Chaves County, NM manufacturing facility. The state’s closing fund, LEDA, will be providing up to $200,000 for the expansion and the construction of a refrigerated/freezer warehouse.

In addition to retaining a minimum of 552 jobs on site, the company will be creating five new jobs as a result of the project. Leprino Foods is the largest private sector employer in Chaves County, where it produces dairy-based products, including mozzarella cheese, whey protein and lactose.
