JBS USA investing $95 million in beef production facility

Will improve animal handling and welfare, food safety and product quality

JBS USA is spending $95 million on a 107,000-sq-ft expansion, as well as facility enhancements, at its Grand Island, NE beef production facility. The project will include improved animal handling facilities; a state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled harvest floor; and facility reconfiguration. The project is expected to be completed in early 2021.
