3-A certified, the SPX FLOW Universal 3 Series positive displacement pump can be cleaned in place as standard. The connection of the rotor and shaft is completely sealed from the product zone to prevent contamination. The front-loaded seals come in a variety of materials and types, including single and double mechanical and O-ring versions. Designed for operating at up to 500 psi (34.5 bar) pressure and 300°F, the pump offers bi-directional flow capability and three-way mounting. Key features include a stainless steel frame, double tapered bearings, shorter large-diameter shafts made from 17-4PH stainless steel, bearings with positive lubrication and a wave spring that extends outer seal life. The pump has no bearings that come into contact with process fluids, no internal sliding or rolling contact and no rotor-to-rotor contact.
