Couldn't make it to Rockwell Automation's Automation Fair this week?
Watch this quick overview of processing innovations from the show, including a manufacturing execution system to recover unidentifiable yield loss and a model predictive control system that optimizes machine performance, presented by ProFood World's Casey Flanagan.

Hi, I’m Casey Flanagan with ProFood World. Rockwell Automation’s Automation Fair just wrapped up yesterday in Chicago. ProFood World was on site, and we found several examples of software improving efficiency and tracking for processors. Here are some highlights:
There were two interesting use cases for manufacturing executions systems (MES) shared at the show.
First, a pudding processor used a full MES to eliminate unidentifiable loss and improve yield in its operation.
Second, a representative for Rockwell’s Plex MES shared a new feature that extends traceability to tank or silo management, to help processors better track and resolve contamination events.
ECN Automation shared how it installed Rockwell’s FactoryTalk Optix data visualization platform at a tequila bottling facility to help centralize production data, track inventory, and maintain quality control.
And finally, Kerry group used Rockwell’s Factorytalk Analytics Pavilion8 Model Predictive Control to eliminate dryer blockages and optimize seasonal performance, for a return on investment in just five months.
Thanks for watching. You can learn more about each of these topics by reading the full story at ProFood World.
