Scraped surface heat exchangers solve viscous product challenges

Designed for sanitary and industrial applications, HRS R Series heat exchangers use a rotary scraper rod capable of velocities up to 300 rpm. The scraper rod features a helical mixing spiral and a series of scraper blades, which together provide a continuous scraping action that mixes highly viscous products and reduces fouling. In many applications, the heat exchangers can be run in reverse, enabling product to be recovered. Available in 1-meter and 2-meter lengths, they come with one-, three- or six-tube options, providing surface areas between 0.35 and 4.2 m².
