As product is tumbled in the unit, heated air circulates through the product bed to facilitate drying/moisture removal or roasting. Features include a flighted drum that facilitates continuous first-in-first-out product flow, independent fans and burners in multiple convection zones, and an externally mounted drum drive that provides access for internal CIP piping and nozzles.
