Engineered for the high-volume, continuous processing of snack foods, such as nuts, seeds and protein/meat-based snacks, the Heat and Control multizone rotary dryer/roaster combines high-volume convective airflow with a gentle rotary motion. As product is tumbled in the unit, heated air circulates through the product bed to facilitate drying/moisture removal or roasting. Features include a flighted drum that facilitates continuous first-in-first-out product flow, independent fans and burners in multiple convection zones, and an externally mounted drum drive that provides access for internal CIP piping and nozzles.
