COMITRONIC-BTI smart capacitive button
COMITRONIC-BTI has updated its button line for the food manufacturing industry. The fifth generation of the smart capacitive button uses a new filtering technology that is not affected by water, even when water jets directly impact the button. The button’s housing meets IP69K standards and does not retain any food particles. The buttons can be operatored by workers wearing latex gloves or non-cutting gloves, and are available in green, red and blue in addition to the standard black and grey colors.
The buttons are customizable, but standard references are used:
- “ON” -- green housing, red/green/orange LED, 1 NO contact
- “OFF” -- red housing, red LED, 1NO + 1NC contact
- “Action” -- black housing, red/green/orange LED, 1 NO contact.
In the “OFF” position, the operator must touch the 3S button to activate the outputs. This avoids shutting down the machine by mistake and eliminates one delay relay.
