Unit integrates two key inspection functions

With the METTLER TOLEDO CM31 StandardLine CombiChecker system, products pass through a metal detector and then are weighed on a checkweigher. Products found to be contaminated with metal or that exceed preset weight parameters are immediately rejected into separate bins for each defect. The system is configurable with 80 performance and productivity-enhancing options and can weigh 20-g to 6-kg packages at throughput rates up to 200 ppm. It can detect all metal types, including ferrous, non-ferrous, non-magnetic stainless steel and aluminum.
