Pulsed light sterilization expert Claranor used ProFood Tech to announce new partnerships with Thimonnier on flexible packaging and Silgan on closures. Where Silgan closures are concerned, the sterilization unit is directly integrated on the cap chute of the capping machine and ensures a 3-log reduction of thermo-resistant germs. It avoids the need for bottle tilting to ensure sterilization.
The Thimonnier partnership revolves around the Ultra Clean SF102, a filling/capping system for Doypak and inverted standup pouches. The system allows the filling of dairy products fresh or pasteurized with a shelf life of up to 60 days depending on the product. The compact and accessible packaging enclosure is optimized for cleaning while ensuring visual control. Spout and closure are decontaminated with Claranor Pulsed Light.
