Bacardi Limited has completed its acquisition of Patrón Spirits International AG and its PATRÓN brand, the top-selling super-premium tequila in the world, making Bacardi America’s top spirits company in the super-premium segment and the country’s second-largest in market share. The company also is now the world’s largest privately held spirits company.
Tekni-Plex buys Commodore Plastics/Commodore Technology
Tekni-Plex, Inc. has acquired Commodore Plastics and Commodore Technology under a newly formed subsidiary, Dolco LLC. Both entities will become part of Dolco Packaging, a Tekni-Plex business. The acquisition expands Tekni-Plex’s food processor tray portfolio and manufacturing capability.
ProAmpac purchases pet food packaging company
US flexible packaging company ProAmpac has acquired Gateway Packaging Company, one of the largest North American pet food packaging manufacturers. With the Gateway acquisition, ProAmpac now has 33 sites worldwide that supply more than 5,000 customers in 90 countries. Gateway will be integrated into the ProAmpac extrusion and laminations division.
