Tyson Foods, Inc. is now the owner of Tecumseh Poultry LLC, including the air-chilled Smart Chicken brand. Currently, Tyson Foods is planning to operate Tecumseh Poultry, with its two plants located in Tecumseh and Waverly, NE, as well as live operations, as a separate, wholly owned subsidiary. The purchase makes Tyson one of America’s leading producers of organic branded chicken.
Tyson selling 2 businesses
Tyson Foods, Inc. has announced it’s entered into an agreement for private equity firm Kohlberg & Company to buy its Sara Lee Frozen Bakery and Van’s businesses. Also included in the sale are the Chef Pierre and Bistro Collection brands, as well as Tyson’s Tarboro, NC and Traverse City, MI prepared foods facilities, a sales office in Canada and the license to use the Sara Lee brand in certain channels. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Schenck acquiring Raymond Bartlett Snow
Schenck Process has signed definitive agreements with the Arvos Group to acquire Raymond Bartlett Snow, a leader in the design, manufacturing and construction of size reduction, classification and thermal processing equipment. Raymond Bartlett Snow has operations in the US, India and Brazil, all of which will become part of the Schenck Process Group. The acquisition is expected to be completed by June 29. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
