Danone has opened a new €240 million, energy-efficient, zero-waste Nutricia Cuijk production facility in the Netherlands, which will mainly produce specialized infant formula for infants diagnosed with specific medical conditions. It also will produce standard infant formula. Powered by 100 percent renewable electricity, the plant uses advanced environmental technologies and manufacturing processes to reduce water and energy consumption, as well as CO2 emissions. When it is fully operational, the facility will employ approximately 500 workers.
