Sealed Air expanding South Carolina facility

Will enable it to produce sustainable food packaging

Sealed Air Corporation is investing $24 million in its Simpsonville, SC facility to begin producing sustainable food packaging, making it the first in North America to produce materials made from Plantic plant-based resin and post-consumer plastic to package perishable foods, such as poultry, beef and seafood. Production of the sustainable packaging is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of next year.
