Southern Foods Opens New Processing Facility

A M King used everything possible — including the roof and the walls — and built what was necessary to turn vacant shell building into new facility

Southern Foods Greensboro Facility

Southern Foods has opened a new 88,000-sq-ft facility in Greensboro, North Carolina for its meat, seafood, and cheese processing operations. The facility includes a beef aging room with high-tech temperature and humidity controls and large viewing windows; a fish processing area; a cheese processing room; a culinary center; dry storage; an office mezzanine and freezers; coolers; and loading docks.

Southern Foods supplies premium meats, seafood, artisanal cheese, and global specialty goods, and performs custom processing. A M King is an integrated design-build firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina with offices in Greenville, South Carolina and Chicago, Illinois.
