Rose Forgrove horizontal wrapping machines will be handled out of Lancaster, PA, and Richmond, VA. —Packaging Aids Corp. (San Rafael, CA) has purchased the assets of TechnaSeal/Vertrod (Livermore, CA). —Barry-Wehmiller (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) has added Marquip (Phillips, WI) to its family of companies. —DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (Clinton, IA) has acquired all of RPC Technology’s (Hayward, CA) Broadbeam® technology covering electron beam processors. —Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. (Chicago, IL) has completed the purchase of an Atlanta, GA, preprint facility from Advance Packaging Corp. (Atlanta, GA). —Amcor (Melbourne, Australia) will construct a new plastic closure plant in Ontario, CA. —Cargill Dow LLC (Minnetonka, MN) and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (New York, NY) will collaborate on the further business development of PLA, a polymer made from annually renewable resources. Cargill Dow opened a new plant in Blair, NE, to produce polylactide, or PLA, polymers. —Bradman Lake (Brislington, Bristol, England) has entered into a mfg. and marketing agreement with Propack Processing and Packaging Systems Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). —Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., LP (Houston, TX) has created a new branding system for its line of polyethylene products called CPChem, which will help integrate the core products of Chevron and Phillips Petroleum Co.
