Mocon announces name change for German subsidiary Lippke

Mocon, Inc., manufacturer of permeation instrumentation and package integrity testing, will change the name of its Paul Lippke Handels-GmbH business unit headquartered in Neuwied, Germany to Mocon GmbH effective January 1, 2015.

“MOCON has made considerable investments in acquisitions and organic growth to strengthen its global footprint as a market leader. Changing the name of our German business unit, is another step in support of that strategy,” said Doug Lindemann, vice president.

Mocon purchased Lippke in 2004. During the two prior decades, Lippke had been a manufacturer of its own instrumentation and a distributor of Mocon equipment—targeting packaging, food, and pharmaceutical markets and applications.

Throughout its history, Lippke has been dedicated to providing innovative high-quality products, first-class application consulting and excellent technical support throughout Europe. Its focus has been on Mocon permeation measurement systems for oxygen, water vapor, and carbon dioxide and Lippke-branded package test systems.

Mocon GmbH will continue to be headed by Lippke managing director Franz Sturm who reports to VP Lindemann.
