
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and key leaders from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) visited FORDS Packaging Systems Ltd today as part of a trade mission to the United Kingdom.
Governor Walker, WEDC Secretary and CEO Reed Hall as well as other key leaders from the Corporation visited Fords manufacturing facility in Bedford. They were also joined by Richard Fuller, Member of Parliament for Bedford, Dave Hodgson, Mayor of Bedford Borough and Mark Oakley, Head of Economic Development at Bedford Borough Council. The visit forms part of their face-to-face meetings with UK business executives to attract companies that best fit into Wisconsin’s growth sectors and who plan to expand in the U.S. in the near future.
The four-day trade mission focused on attracting foreign investment to Wisconsin. The state delegation met with trade-related government officials, business associations, universities and industry clusters that align with Wisconsin’s business strengths, namely the manufacturing sector.
