Gerresheimer shatter-resistant Gx Elite glass injection vials are suitable for sophisticated drugs, such as biopharmaceuticals and cytostatics. They are manufactured in a patented production process that completely eliminates microdefects measuring 100 µm, allowing the vials to be filled with drugs quickly and safely.
Gx Elite vials optionally come with a Corning Velocity outer coating, which reduces frictional resistance and allows a more efficient filling process, significantly cutting downtimes on the filling lines. Velocity protects the high surface quality of Gx Elite vials against possible damage during the filling process. Both of these factors lead to much faster throughput on production lines and to more efficient operation of facilities.
Gx Elite vials can also be delivered pre-sterilized and ready-to-fill in optimized EZ-fill Smart packaging. The RTF packaging platform simplifies the filling process, cuts costs, and reduces particle load by over 90 % by swapping Tyvek lids for a polymer sealing film. As a result, the risk of particle contamination is considerably reduced. At the same time, EZ-fill Smart packaging lowers a company's carbon footprint by using biopolymers, reusable materials, and a resource-saving sterilization process (VHP), for example.
